Joe Carter of Evangelical Outpost has an interesting post about a little-known federal statute regarding docking the pay of congressmen who are absent for reason other than sickness (personal or familial). Guess what's the party of the top 4 absentees (Offhand, I don't know Luis Gutierrez's party affiliation)? Hint: Hee Haw!
But, I suppose we shouldn't be too harsh on these men. Perhaps they're claiming "mental illness." Too bad; I was thinking we could at least put that money towards something useful...
